β FAQs
J, Q, and K have the same Power (10). Who wins?β
When it comes to figures, the figure with the highest rank wins. K wins over Q, which wins over J. If their Power has been modified, the rules of the rank don't apply anymore, and in case of a tie, the Tycoon decides the winner (amongst the players in the tie)
When does a round finish?β
When all players have passed their turn, the round finishes.
Can I play an Event after I have passed?β
No, when you have passed you are considered to have exited the market, and you cannot play other events anymore in the whole Events phase.
Sometimes it makes sense to play a Useless event to not be forced to pass your turn (so that you are still in the market)
If all other players exited the market, except me, can i play an additional event?β
Yes, you can play only another Event, and then the round finishes.
How should I use the last round card?β
The Last Round card is essential to know what the last round is. You need to put the Last Round card inside the Shitcoiners deck in a position that depends on the number of players (see the setup).
The Last Round card should be put face down, similarly to the other Shitcoiners, so that it is not recognizable before actually drawing it. A player that draws the last round card needs to reveal it and put it on the table, and draw another card. Now that the last round card has been revealed, the Last Round rules apply.
What happens if the Last Round card is revealed because of the effect of a Joker or a FLIP?β
Firstly, another Shitcoiner card is drawn, and the FLIP or Joker's effect is applied to it. Secondly, surprise! This becomes the Last Round, and the Last Round rules are triggered: this becomes the Last Round. This means that each player draws an additional event card, and puts a Shitcoiner unrevealed into the Liqudity pool.

Do I need to put in my Portfolio all the cards in the Liquidity Pool?β
Not necessarily, for practicality, you can add only the cards (Shitcoiners and Events) that have plus or minus coins. All the other cards can be set aside in the Discard pile. You can also have 2 different discard piles, one for Shitcoiners and another one for Events, so that it's easier to set the decks for the next match.
Is my Portfolio private?β
Yes, the owner is the only person who can look at its Portfolio.
Can players keep track of the portfolio value of everyone?β
If all players agree, every time someone wins a Liquidity Pool, you can update the Portfolio value on a piece of paper accordingly, so that every player knows who is leading. Also, this makes it easier to determine the winner at the end of the match, because players don't need to count all their coins in their Portfolio. Another way would be not to keep the score officially, so that only players that remember the score of everyone else have an advantage over the others.
Is it an advantage to be the SHitcoin Tycoon?β
It depends. Even if there is an advantage in deciding who the winner of a round is incase of a tie, as the Tycoon draws first, it may bring a disandvantage in some cases, as other players may play an event based on the Tycoon choice.
What is the maximum amount of Events that a player can have?β
There is not a maximum number of Events that a player can have in his hand.
As a variant rule, you can introduce a maximum event number for a player to hold in his hand of 5 event cards. This number is enforced at the end of every round, just after the winner is declared. Players that have more than 5 events in their hand, need to discard enough events to stay within the limit.
